Cyohoha Camping Site is located right at the shores of Lake Cyohoha in Rwanda, Bugesera district, Ngeruka sector, Murama cell, Shami village. It is 53 km and about 1hr 30 minutes drive from Kigali City Centre.
The camp site consists of Six big tents of which 2 have King size beds and the other Four tents with twin beds and a small patio in the front of the tent with 2 chairs. There are also 20 small Two persons tents available. The small tents can be hitched in the camping area with access to the Campfire and different Barbecue stoves.
The Camp has outdoor bathrooms of two kinds; the modern flushing toilets and the traditional squat type. The toilet and shower facilities are in close proximity to the camping fields so you don’t have to stroll too far from your bed at the crack of dawn.
The site is Solar powered for lighting during the night and with a chest freezer which allows to have a cold drink. It’s quiet with a fascinating sounds of different species of birds and a cool lake breeze with a relaxing sound of the waves from the lake.
An adorable sunset and sunrise at the shores of lake cyohoha truly makes Lake Cyohoha Camping site a special place to stay and camp. The stars in the night make you feel remote enough and a taste of the back in the days which makes camping a meaningful and enjoyable.
